The equipment for the biomass module is partially fitted
inside a standard ISO 40 ft container and the other
part on top of the container. Biomass Store Module is
able to fit 50 m3 of biomass fuel which allows continuous
operation of 30-35 hrs of maximum capacity, therefore
re-stocking of the storage once a day is sufficient.
The plant is designed to use wood waste up to 50 mm
(bark, sawdust, shavings, clear fell waste etc) or agricultural
biomass.

The fuel dryer operates with hot air approx.
100 oC heated by a hot water heat exchanger. The hot
water for the above mentioned heat exchanger is part
of the water cooling system off the main furnace (hot
air heat exchanger for gas turbine).

Ambient air is heated in the heat exchanger
and pushed through wet fuel in the dryer. The above
described drying system is reducing moisture in the
biomass fuel by about 20 %.

In case of very high moisture content fuel
- it is possible to duct exhaust gas (about 220 oC)
which would dry fuel even more. The module is fully
automated and controlled by PLC. |
